Many people thought that the warning from Acting Chief Justice Raymond Zondo would have stopped the attacks on the constitution, but no way. In fact, things have degenerated to a very bad state because more people are coming out to attack the constitution. Today, Mr Irvin Jim, NUMSA General Secretary reveals even the worst things about the constitution more than Lindiwe Sisulu has said. The attack of Lindiwe Sisulu is just a child's play compared to what Irvin Jim thinks of the constitution of the republic of South Africa. He was quoted as saying in a viral video that the constitution is a “product of a negotiated settlement”. A popular journalist wrote what Mr Irvin Jim says, “We're happy that within the ANC, there's somebody who agrees with us that there's a problem with this Constitution. This Constitution is a product of a negotiated settlement that has run its course, that has delivered poverty, unemployment, and inequities”.
The minister of Tourism, Lindiwe Sisulu, has opened a can of worms, and many people are beginning to speak out against this constitution. Although in the past some people have pointed out that the constitution was faulty and needed to be reviewed or amended, none of them was as influential as Lindiwe Sisulu, who is also a member of the ruling party, a member of parliament, and the current minister of Tourism. She has served as a minister in more than 7 ministries under different presidents, this is the reason people are now standing in her shadow to also attack the constitution. Irvin Jim says that they are happy that a member of the ANC, which is the ruling party, is the one speaking about the faulty constitution. Needless to say that many people are calling for constitutional amendment, even from the time of Nelson Mandela, but nothing has been done. A man has this to say about the constitution, “The Constitution is the Codesa minutes. Straight to the point. Thanks, Noli. Thanks, CDE Jim!”.
