Ramaphosa Appoints 3 Of His Trusted Allys To Go Help Eswatini Chaos|Find Out Who Are The Chosen Ones

President Cyril Ramaphosa has selected three top South African officials to a delegation of special envoys traveling to meet with Eswatini monarch King Mswati III.

According to local media accounts, violent demonstrations in Eswatini have erupted to the point that key towns in the kingdom have been shut down, and at least 28 people have died as police clashed with demonstrators in some of the country's worst disturbances in its history.

Ramaphosa appointed the special envoys in his role as chairwoman of the Southern African Development Community (Sadc) institution on defense, political, and security cooperation.

The delegation comprises OF:

-Former justice minister Jeff Radebe;

-Candith Mashego-Dlamini, deputy minister of international relations and co-operation; and

-Maropene Ramokgopa, special adviser on international relations to Ramaphosa.

The delegation will also include representatives from Botswana and Namibia. Sadc executive secretary Elias Magosi and top Sadc secretariat personnel will accompany the envoys. The envoys are scheduled to visit Eswatini this week.
