The media has always depicted former president Jacob Zuma as a face of corruption. This is because most of the corruption scandals that were reported, occurred under his tenure. When Cyril Ramaphosa ascended to the presidency, it symbolised a new dawn, according to many. But nothing has changed so far as corruption is continuing unabated.

As the former president is currently serving 15-month sentence for being in contempt of court, a former Western Cape Democratic Alliance leader, Bonginkosi Madikizela, has come out guns blazing spitting on President Ramaphosa in defence of Jacob Zuma.

Bonginkosi Madikizela, who recently resigned from the Democratic Alliance, has come out to decry the incarceration of former president Jacob Zuma. He said that Zuma is not the face of corruption and president Cyril Ramaphosa is not the angel people are made to believe he is.
