Two disgraced lawyers and a convicted rapist These are the three people who have now been accused of profiting from the feeding frenzy that accompanied the illegal siphoning of R150 million from the Department of Health.

The looting frenzy took place under the political leadership of Zweli Mkhize, who has been accused of being the brains of the plot during the Covid-19 outbreak, which has claimed thousands of lives.

According to the Sunday World, Tahera Mather, Mkhize's former long-time ally, has told law enforcement agencies that convicted rapist Robinson Manzi was hired as a fixer after the Daily Maverick exposed the criminality that characterized the Digital Vibes contract.

Looters attack each other.

Colin Pather, a lawyer who was barred from the bar for allegedly robbing his client's trust account, allegedly arranged a meeting at the Mugg & Bean at King Shaka International Airport in Durban, where Pather allegedly demanded R8 million from Digital Vibes owner (on paper only) Radha Hariram.

Sumen Pillay, Pather's friend and distinguished colleague, is believed to have attended the meeting on behalf of Hariram.

"During this meeting, Mr Pillay stated that he had been in a meeting with Ms Hariram prior to the start of our meeting and demanded that I pay Ms Hariram R8000000 in exchange for her taking responsibility for the allegations leveled against Digital Vibes in the media," Mather writes in her draft affidavit.

"Mr Pillay also advised that I start paying on the same day, so I transferred R800000 into his trust account... Mr Pillay gave me the details of SP Attorneys' trust bank account. "I was alone and perplexed at this point, and I definitely wanted Ms Hariram to cooperate," Mather added.

Pillay verified that R800,000 was deposited into his trust account, but not for the reason Mather claims.

He said the money was for the "return of Digital Vibes funds stolen."

Pillay's trust account received a total of R2-million from Digital Vibes' Nedbank account. Pillay recognized the payment as well, but stated that it was "money taken from Digital Vibes."

Pillay further stated that he and Pather are pals.
