
The Economic Freedom fighters mourns the passing of the struggle stalwart Denis Goldberg.
Family spokesperson confirmed his passing by saying that they are saddened by his passing.
“Denis Goldberg Legacy Foundation Trust is very sad to announce that Denis Goldberg passed away just before midnight on Wednesday 29 April 2020, his was a well-lived in the struggle for freedom in South Africa, we will miss him”, says family spokesperson.
In a statement, the EFF conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the Goldberg family and friends.
“The EFF would like to convey its heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the late struggle stalwart Denis Goldberg. Goldberg was a staunch anti-apartheid activist and one of the famed Rivonia Trialist who condemned to life imprisonment for resisting the fascist and racist regime of Apartheid”, says the EFF in a statement.
The red berets say they will remember his contribution to the to the struggle.
“His contribution to the struggle for equality and justice in our country will forever to be remembered.
Goldberg died at the age of 87.
