ANC denies allegations of illegal demands from EFF Selloane Motjeane in exchange for votes

This was bound to happen, a lot of parties felt that they were cheated by the African National Congress, and in actual effect to tell the truth, people did not adopt or accept the results that they got from these past elections.

I think this is the year that they thought that they would put to an end the era of the African National Congress. So they were just amazed to see that the African National Congress still managed to get some cities to rule. The majority of the cities they got upsurd the opposition parties. I think the main purpose of the opposition parties was to make sure that ANC is left with very few municipalities to rule, by so doing, they will stripping them off their powers to rule. Stripping them from taking leadership again as a ruling party.

So the main aim here was to do away with the ANC, I mean with the previous elections, but it did not come out as they thought. So it only makes sense that a lot of them will try by means to look for a loophole, or something that they can blame ANC for. A lot of them I think are going to come for ANC through the law. When you are corrupt, people don't trust you, so we can not also blame the opposition parties. ANC can't be trusted.

The ANC has denied allegations of meddling in Metsimaholo Municipality in Free State.

This after resignation of the EFF mayor a few days after taking office. The EFF asked its mayor to let go of the mayorship after getting the position through the votes of the ANC.

It is alleged that the EFF's Regional Secretary was already receiving demands for illegal favours from ANC members. According to the party this came at a cost to the integrity of the mayor.

Fight for mayoral position in Metsimaholo Local Municipality, Free State has intensified. Resignation of newly-elected EFF mayor, Selloane Motjeane, just a few days after taking office re-opened the battle for the control of the municipality.
