BREAKING: Former Zambian President Dies

The revolutionary Founder of Zambia Kenneth Kaunda is no more. He passed on at the age of 97 after a short illness and messages of condolences have been pouring from all over the world, here are some reactions from social media.

@AmThePaul: An African Statesman, towering giant, a good leader, and Pan-Africanist in the true sense of it. #RIPKennethKaunda was a leader I could easily identify in books and on TV as a very young boy especially with his suits and in later years his hair.

@peterndoro: So sad to hear of the passing of Zambia’s first President Dr. Kenneth “KK” Kaunda. What a great son of Africa who did so much for our continent. MHSRIP.

@HonourableHloni: Rest in peace Kenneth "KK" Kaunda. It's an end of an era & a closure of a chapter for independent leaders.

@Wamagaisa: The history of Zimbabwe would not be the same without the extraordinary leadership of these 3 African stalwarts. The man in the middle went first in 1986, Samora Machel. The man on the right followed in 1999, Nyerere. The man on the left has now joined his comrades.
