Even prominent politicians are apologizing. Guess who else has said sorry to Zuma

Dissatisfaction with President Cyril Ramaphosa's leadership is so high that people believe we were better off in the looting era.

Several South Africans have recently flooded social media with messages, asking for forgiveness from former President Jacob Zuma. According to many, it was wrong of them to believe that Zuma was a bad President. Some claim they were misled into thinking Zuma had a hand in the State Capture and that he had shady dealings with the Guptas. Now even top politicians have joined in apologizing to Zuma.

The latest to apologize is Leader of Black Land Firts, Andile Mngxitama. The controversial Mngxitama took to Twitter to say sorry to Zuma. "It is true the nation was misled by agents of white power. You became the enemy when you dropped the west for BRICS. You were criminalised for saying blacks must unite to effect land expropriation without compensation. You were vilified for saying free education", Mngxitama said.

This is not the First time Mngxitama said sorry to Zuma. In 2018, the Black First Land First (BLF) leader Andile Mngxitama apologised to former president Jacob Zuma for saying he should pay back the money. Mngxitama, who was speaking at the BLF Black Caucus held in Johannesburg when he said he had made a mistake by calling on Zuma to repay the money used for non-security upgrades to his Nkandla home. Mngxitama, who used to be an Economic Freedom Fighters member in Parliament, was very vocal in calling for Zuma to repay the money.“I made a political mistake and I am asking for forgiveness. We have never asked Absa to pay back the money,” he said back then.

The #SorryJacobZuma is pure frustration from ordinary South Africans. As South Africans brace themselves for record high fuel prices this week, coupled with rolling Stage 6 blackouts, social media users are flooding Twitter to apologise to former President. How does one begin to think Zuma was a better Leader? Zuma was in the forefront of the state capture. He is responsible for many things that went wrong in South Africa. People must relax and deal with the mountain standing in front of them...the ANC as a whole. Apologizing to Zuma is a bit extreme. People must just do right by the polls in 2024! What are your thoughts?
