Elias Sekgobelo "Ace" Magashule is a South African politician and an anti-apartheid activist who is the current embattled Secretary General of the African National Congress the ruling party in the Southern African country. He served as the Premier of the Free State, one of South Africa's nine provinces, from 2009 until 2018.
However, the vibrant politician have been a subject of discussion since was caught in between corruption allegations which led to the 30 days grace given to him by President Cyril Ramaphosa to park his loads and leave the political portfolio he's handling.
Nevertheless, many concerned South African citizens wondered why the president would have to give such an amount of time to the embattled secretary General when he can easily order for his resignation or suspension with immediate effect.
Be that as it may, instead of Magashule to do the needful by engaging in the consultation he was ought to, he he has used this time to fearlessly campaign publicly and meet with supporters. He also told a meeting of the party's provisional that the big six in the party is highly divided.
Magashule actions and body language since his was given time to resign seemingly shows that he's may not be ready to obey the order. Anyway time will tell even though the situation has made me the writer ask why ANC is struggling or afraid to fire Ace. Is he a South African version of Idi Amin considering his energy?
