The people of South Africa have been thinking and wondering why the president of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa has not visited the families of Marikana. This is because the people of South Africa and political leaders now want answers on why the president has been quiet about what happened in Marikana and what he promised them.

Cyril Ramaphosa is the president of South Africa that always love making a promise to the people of this country. Recently in the past year, the president promised the families of Marikana that he will come and visit those that lost a loved one in the Marikana massacre. Till today the president has not set foot in Marikana and this is the reason why.

Cyril Ramaphosa's reasons why he has never set foot in Marikana after 10 years might shock a lot of people. This is because many people are now blaming him for what happened in the Lonemill mine in 2012. This is where more than 35 people were shot and killed by South African police of which Ramaphosa is blamed for the death.

Lonemill mine workers were protesting outside Lonemill for a minimum wage increase in 2012 and their demands ended in several mine workers being killed and not seeing their families again. Ramaphosa who was the Deputy President of South Africa at the time is believed to have had a close relationship which the directors of the mine which then led to the passing of 35 mine workers.

Yesterday on the 16 August it was a terrible day for the members of the family that were brought to mind about the terrible events that were caused by people that don't want to listen. One of the reasons why the president has not visited the families of the Marikana massacre is also because he is ashamed of what his administration has done.

Even though the affected families have been compensated with R3 million but the money that is sent to the families seems not to be enough. The reason for this is that the president is urgently needed by the families affected by the Massacre. This is because the minimum wage in the country has been what the mine workers have been subjected to and it does not meet the demands of the people.
