FINALLY| Zweli Mkhize Breaks His Silence And Lashes Out At SIU On Its Digital Vibes Findings

South Africa's ongoing corruption scandals have been shocking to the core. Ever since the ANC initiated the step aside resolution, it seems that corrupt cadres are getting exposed every day.

Whilst many people are not shocked about the corruption allegations of most comrades, they could not believe that the former Health Minister has been implicated in a corruption scandal as well, as he was most people's favorite and they believed in him.

Unfortunately for his followers and all those who believed in him, the Special Investigation Unit report exposed a lot about Mkhize's link to Digital Vibes showing how he benefitted from the company's contract and how millions from the contract went to his family.

Currently Trending

Instead of allowing Ramaphosa to fire him from his cabinet, Mkhize decided to resign as the country's health minister on the 5th of August 2021 just before the new cabinet was announced.

It has now been reported that Mkhize wants the SIU findings to be set aside, citing that the findings are not only unlawful but all allegations against him are false and ended his political career.

He adds that the SIU did not consider his submissions because if they did, they would have realized that he is innocent. He adds that this forced him to resign from his post as his reputation was already damaged.

He maintains his innocence, citing that he was not involved in awarding a tender to Digital Vibes, that he only realized that the company was awarded the contract two months after it was appointed.

Public's Opinion

The masses believe that Mkhize is as guilty as sin and that no court will find him innocent. Some say that he is just trying to resurrect his political career instead of trusting in the country's judicial system.

Author's Opinion

No politician wants to be held accountable. The country has been downgraded to junk status by corrupt government officials who stole Covid-19 funds. The public must reflect on a regime change that they desperately need. If not, then a coalition government would do because come to think of it, most political parties are not equal to the job at hand.
