There's a video making rounds on the social media streets, whereby billionaire, Rob Hersov, aggressively attacks the ANC led government and basically had the balls to say everything that was on everyone's mind.
Rob has the right to criticize government policy. The ANC doesn't rule by divine right and has no monopoly on correct policy application. Indeed the policy failures are inextricably linked to the phenomenon of state capture, which hollowed out state institutions and rendered them incapable of generating the investment needed to crowd in private sector investors.
Who has already forgotten about Estina, the collapsed citrus farms in Limpopo, the embezzled R4bn water reticulation project in Giyani, the egregious PPE procurement scandal, Digital Vibes, VBS, PRASA, the decision at Transnet to exempt South China Rail from the tender obligation to create 70,000 jobs?
Surely, all these actions detract from the capacity to grow the economy, the creation of jobs and the equitable distribution of wealth? In all these, the crooked BEE, which doesn't benefit the masses, was used as a smokescreen.
There was mention of BEE in the documents of Estina, SAA, Nkandla, and the crooked PRASA railways (remember Swifambo?).
Ministers who preside over such failures must surely be stupid. The voters who elect such failures are morons.
