Motsoaledi Sends A Message To All Zimbabweans In SA Than Have ZEP.
An NGO by the name of HSF has defended Zimbabweans ZEP holders and applied for an extension of the ZEP. The department saw this as one of the destruction ways in which NGOs can get and has spoken that this has to stop.
The HSF had given Zimbabweans hope that the special permits could be extended, however, the Minister of Home Affairs sent an opposing message to Zimbabweans with ZEP.
Aaron Motsoaledi says that ZEP holders must ignore the false hope created by HSF and adhere to the procedures outlined by the Department of Home Affairs in various notices and communications. Zimbabweans might as well start getting ready to go home even though it may be hard for them.
The decision not to extend the ZEP has been accepted by South Africans with open arms because they really want Zimbabweans gone. However, only ZEP holders will leave the country, what about those that are illegal in South Africa, how will they be traced?
Proudly_SouthAfrican support the decision to deport illegal immigrants, however, ZEP holders should atleast be given permanent residency while those who have no documents whatsoever be the ones to be deported.
