“I Have No Regrets” - Mmusi Maimane Finally Shares The REAL REASON Why He Left The DA

“… the DA is not a vehicle best suited to take forward the vision of building One South Africa for all.”

Former DA leader and current OneSA leader, Mmusi Maimane, took to Twitter to let South Africans know exactly why he left the racist political party, the DA.

He posted this, “On this day 2 years ago I made the decision to leave the DA. I have zero regrets. Sometimes you outgrow an environment.

I am now working with the @OneSA_Movement and we are at the forefront of disrupting the current political model.

The system is not working and needs urgent reform. The people are no longer driving the democratic project, that must change. It’s exciting and hard work.

I have been on incredible new journey, established an education centre, distributed over 1,1 million meals, working with 12 organisations in municipalities.

At the time I joined I knew the ANC was continuing on a path of corruption and mismanagement.

I held the view that I could be part of building a viable and inclusive professional political party. I worked very hard to try achieve that goal. It did not work.”

However, there are a lot of people who are certain that he is not telling the whole truth. People believe that he was fired from the DA.

Here are some of the comments Maimane’s supporters left on the tweet:

“I commend you for leaving that Racist organisation. Indeed you made wise and right decision.”

“Not forgetting the work you have done last year to help students with laptops and also provide political education for Independent candidates for local government elections.”

“The DA has never been a Party for all. NEVER! It is a white Political Party that uses other people of colour for votes. I would rather die in the ANC than join the DA. Obviously politicians are power hungry and always jump to every opportunity of leadership.”

“While in the DA you made a number of strategic mistakes. Scheizer-Reineke, Ashwin Willemse. You came up for the underdog instead of focussing on the common goal and consolidate effort behind that. This week you made much more strategic statements than ever in the DA.”
