It has really been a tough year already for the ANC party, as the members of the party are passing away and most of them are killed in brutal killings by people who are unknown and the reasons of their killing is always unknown.
EThekwini Councillor Minenhle Mkhize was gunned down at his home in Clifdale, west of Durban on Saturday night. The reason for his killing is not yet known and the police are busy with investigations to find the reason of the shooting of the Councillor and also to catch the suspects or the suspect behind all this.
Mkhize was a newly-elected councillor taking over the post following the municipal elections in November.
Though there's no clear motive for his shooting, Mkhize's death is one of several killings involving politicians in the province over the years.
The police need to arrest these perpetrators and lock them behind bars, they have killed a father, a brother and an innocent soul, therefore they must suffer the consequences.
May his soul rest in peace.
