The ANC ward councillor candidate escaped an assassination by a hitmen send to killed him, so they can remove him from the candidate election position in the next municipal elections. The hitmen missed the top ANC leader, but he didn't miss his cousin who received 12 gun shots on Saturday night. The hitmen mistakenly thought the ANC leader was driving his car, but the cousin was the one who was driving the car, but the councillor managed to survive. Image credit: Google

The police in Boitekeng in Rustenburg have launched a manhunt after the 36-year-old men was assassinated while driving the North West ANC Councillor's car. The location can be identified in Seraleng near Boitekeng, outside Rustenburg and it transpired on Saturday evening 23 October. The South Africa Police Service are reaching out to the public for an valuable information that can lead up to the arrest to the hitmen.
