There has been rumors that the former minister of finance and General Treasurer of the African National Congress, Dr Zwelithini Mkhize has some ambitions to run for president of the African National Congress.
Now the African National Congress is set to run for the electoral conference in December 2022, and many comrades are raising their hands for different positions.
Dr Zweli Mkhize has accepted the call by some traditional leaders to run for the African National Congress (ANC) Presidency. He says it seems as if there are people who are trying find anything against him. Despite that, he says he will soldier despite the "campaign to smear him."
This means that the former minister of Health, Dr Zwelithini Mkhize will be joining competition against President of the republic of South Africa and African National Congress Cyril Matamela Ramaphosa.
