RET's Yengeni Hits Back At Madonsela After Her Defence of Cyril

It seems former Public Protector Advocate Thuli Madonsela has been rendered a carcass to be devoured by the RET brigade [pun intended] — this follows her apparent defence of President Cyril Ramaphosa on the PhalaPhalaGATE scandal that rocked the country a couple of months ago.

Madonsela stated that Ramaphosa may not be liable for corruption as what may have transpired on his farm did not particularly include unlawful benefit of state resources.

Her remarks irked quite a number of ANC leaders who are known to be diametrically opposed to the president.

Carl Niehaus was the first off the blocks to launch a sensational attack on Madonsela, and he was followed by Bathabile Dlamini, who also had a fair share to say.

Meanwhile, Yengeni, another unwavering RET proponent who has demonstrated his opposition to the President has launched a jaw-breaking 'attack' against Madonsela.

He took to his official Twitter account this morning to express acalectic disgust at Madonsela's seemingly defensive remarks for Cyril.

He lambasted her for the fact that she is a law professor and it was unbecoming of her to defend alleged corrupt activities of the President.

"A law Professor defending corruption..Dishonesty 101..Rhaaa! Imali inamanyala," Yengeni said.

By "imali inamanyala" — which means money is obscene, Yengeni is implying that Madonsela may have been gratuitously paid to come in defence of the President.

One would not be certain if Yengeni's remarks have basis given that RET-aligned comrades do not really like Madonsela as a result of the fact that she implicated several of them in the state capture report.

The RET brigade has been vociferous in its calls for Ramaphosa to resign from his job, even though the verdict is still out on him and the PhalaPhalaGATE controversy.

And as Yengeni has shown, anyone who expresses opinions that appear to absolve the President of responsibility on the PhalaPhalaGATE, runs the risk of being dragged by comrades who support the RET.

What do you make of Yengeni's attack on Madonsela?
