JG Zuma Foundation exposes letter that prevented Zuma yesterday from attending media briefing

The JG Zuma Foundation has apologized to the media for former President Jacob Zuma's absence at yesterday's (Saturday, June 25) press briefing. "Dear media, I'm sorry again that H.E. President Zuma couldn't come because of rules about his parole. "Thank you for coming in such large numbers," said part of the tweet.

"As you can see from the letter, the DA was ready to pounce, as you can see. We appreciate the good advice from Advocate Dali Mpofu and his legal team," the next tweet said.JG Zuma Foundation exposes letter that prevented Zuma yesterday

JACOB ZUMA'S ABSENCE INFLUENCED BY LEGAL LETTER

In a letter to Mr. M. S. Thobakgale, the Acting National Commissioner at the Department of Correctional Services, the lawyer questioned Zuma's medical parole conditions. "Mr. Zuma is on medical parole," the third part of the letter says. His parole rules say that he can't leave the district of Nkandla in KwaZulu-Natal without making plans ahead of time.See the source image

Point 4: The letter asked on behalf of the client (DA) if Thobakgale gave permission to leave his magisterial district to go to the press conference. If so, he had to explain why he was letting them do it and, if there were any conditions, what they were.

We need to hear back by Wednesday, June 29.
