About 14 former government employees that are included in this matter, including former health minister Sindiswa Gomba. Her and 13 others including business people and ANC members, face 27 counts relating to fraud,money laundering, corruption and contravening the municipal finance management act. The lawyer of the four accused, including Sindiswa Gomba, withdrew because the metro had cancelled the payments and Gomba said her and others couldn't afford to pay the legal fees on their own. Legal fees are estimated' in R2 million on a period of three month's. They are expected to be back on court of law, before the 12th of april 2022.
