As everyone probably knows by now, the ANC was founded back in 1912 on the 8th of January in Blomfontein as a force to be used by blacks to fight the harsh laws the apartheid government placed upon blacks, Indians and Coloureds.

The party was launched by many figures but only three men are given the credit, they were just too tired of being ruled harshly in their own country: Josiah Gumede, Pixley ka Isaka Seme and Sol Plaatje.
Just in case y'all didn't know, the ANC as you know it today wasn't launched as the ANC, instead the party was launched as South African Native National Congress (SANNC). The party changed the name to the ANC back in 1923, the reason wasn't stated but it was probably for a better pronunciation of the name.

It took many people for South Africa to achieve the freedom it has today and amongst many of them, includes Mandela, Oliver Tambo and Chief Lithuli just to mention a few.
What do y'all think?? Let's talk in the comments section
