With the elections around the corner, the country has plunged into chaos and some parts of the country have become a war zone for for these political members. Ever since the start of the year many ANC members have lost their lives, or even got injured vary badly due to assassination attempts.
In the KZN alone countless people have lost their lives in pointless fighting over positions in the ruling party. This trend seems to be ongoing and it seems to be growing and becoming popular amongst some members of the ruling party, which currently makes it one of the most dangerous job positions to be in and the one of the most dangerous political parties we have here in South Africa.
It has been reported that an ANC member and ward counselor in the KZN province has been shot, and died on the spot whilst doing a door to door campaign, whilst others he was with have gotten gravely injured.
The report states that Siyabonga Mkize who is a ward counselor in ward 101 in the eThekwini municipality has been shod dead during door to door election.campaign in Cato Crest in durban. The two others he was with were rushed to hospital after sustaining gunshot wounds.
Some people have expressed their frustrations regarding this matter and commented, that they wish that the elections would just be over already so that they can go back to living their lives, and for all this pointless violence and killings to stop.
