Government Delegates To AmaZulu Royal Family Dispute Foresees Failure If Both Factions Don't Comply

The government team tasked with the solving of the Royal family dispute is at a standstill as they are no fruitful proceedings concerning the matter.

One of the people tasked to lead the team has disclosed that their efforts to resolve the dispute were at a standstill. This is also contributed by that the other members of the Royal family have note given them a location for them to attend the meeting where all the family members could meet. Former Premier of KwaZulu-Natal, Willies Mchunu (pictured below) said if the family fails to give a venue for the meeting that means it is the end of their efforts to solve the feud. Mchunu was briefing Isolezwe journalist yesterday after he was asked about the proceedings.

The delegation was appointed by the Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma. He was also mandated by president Cyril Ramaphosa to intervene in the matter following the failure of the KwaZulu-Natal ANC government's efforts to resolve the dispute? The family is divided over the heir to the throne after the fateful death of King Goodwin Zwelithini KaBhekuzulu. Some are supporting the name of King Misuzulu after he was nominated by the will of the late Queen Regent Shiyiwe Mantfombi Dlamini-Zulu.

Another faction of the Royal Family wants Prince Simakade to be the heir to the throne, This is lead by senior Royal Family members Princess Thembi Zulu-Ndlovu and Prince Mbonisi Zulu. The delegation wants the Family to choose a central venue as the contestants do not want to meet at the KwaKhangelamankengane Palace. The family said the King must be consulted so that he could name another venue that was not available for the meeting held last week. But so far no venue has been agreed upon. If the family continues to delay the naming of a meeting venue this could lead to the delegates give-up on their efforts. Mchunu said they will continue to meet with other contacts. But if they stop trying the Royal family will have to take it upon themselves to contact Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma. Should they decide to make a decision that will also be favorable as all the details are in place?
