As the elections was happening on the 1st of November 2021. As of Wednesday midnight the answer has taken the lead with 46.31%, Democratic Alliance 21.04 and Economic Freedom Fighters 10.43% respectively. According to the analysts the African National Congress will get more than 50% win in the elections. Since there are still counting 95% of the votes have been counted.
The African National Congress have the majority votes. Even though most voters showed that they are tired of The African National Congress since it is a ruling party but they have managed to get votes. The ANC might govern again. According to the IEC reports African National Congress have gained 3 892 seats while the Democratic Alliance has gained 1 129 seats. As of Wednesday African National Congress in Limpopo they have 68.33% and in the Eastern Cape they have gained 64.28%. All other provinces are leaded by the African National Congress except for Western Cape.
Another party that showed to have a huge impact is Economic Freedom Fighters and they have gained 713 seats. According to S Mamabolo who is a Chief electoral officer, they will make sure all the votes will be counted accordingly. All the results are supposed to be completed by Friday midnight. In other news, the leader of a new political party, Herman Mashaba who is also a former Democratic Alliance said that they have done well as a new party and he is happy about the results.
Mashaba said “We did exceptionally well in the history of the democratic dispensation. No political party – one-year-old – has ever performed the way that we did,” “For me, in particular, I am not happy with the results. I would have wanted us to get an outright majority, but I am a pragmatic person. I understand the dynamics”. “At the end of the day, I am really proud of my team, proud of our people out there who gave us their support,” In the City of Johannesburg where action have been asking for voters to vote for them, they have got 16.6% while the African National Congress was leading by 34.7%.
