The suspended comrades are from the O.R Tambo region in Eastern Cape province who were served with suspension letters in line with the party's rule 25.60 and stripped of their constitutional rights.
Carl Niehaus reacted to the suspension of these ANC comrades which comes at a time ANC workers are planning to protest against ANC over non payment and their working conditions which they say have reached breaking point.
He says those in leadership should understand that the power of the people is greater than the people in power.
"All of us, especially our leaders, will do well to always remember this," he said.
Former ANC Councillor for Nelson Mandela Bay, Andile Lungisa who is also Magashule's ally came out guns blazing against ANC following the suspension of the 24 comrades in Eastern Cape.
He lamented that political differences are now being resolved through suspension and it has now become more of political cleansing and nothing else.
"Political differences in the Eastern Cape are resolved via suspension of comrades. That is dangerous and it is called political purging nothing else," said Lungisa.
