Opinion - Here is the Only Way Needed to Save ANC in South Africa

Perhaps the only way to save the ANC is to give it back to its rightful owners, which is the traditional leaders. The bra*ns and funders behind the ANC were kings and Paramount Chiefs who seconded their advisors to lead the organisation.

Hence the Kings and Chiefs instrumental in the formation and funding of the ANC became honorary Presidents. This below are the bestowed honourary President of the ANC in 1912 when South African National Native Council now called ANC was formed at Bloemfontein:

King Dinizulu of Zululand

Chief Montsioa of the Barolong

King Dalidyebo of the Thembu

Chief Khama of Bechuanaland

King Letsie 11 of Basotholand

Chief Lewanika of Barotseland

Chief Mopei of Bakgatla

For example, the first Secretary General of the ANC, Sol Plaatje who was a Morolong represented Chief Montsioa of the Barolong, Sol Plaatje was Chief Montsioas interpreter. Whilst John Langalibalele Dube and Pixley Ka Isaka Seme were proxies of the 5King

Since the end of the last wars of resistance tradional leaders have been turned into onlookers and recipients of state grants. Having to compete with their subjects whilst capital controlled politicians within the ANC destroy the glorious movement of the people.

The real custodians of the ANC are in the p*riphery and one wonders when they will take their rightful place to save the ANC.
