Foreigners in deep trouble, ANC Guns for them

About 17 foreign nationals have been arrested for failing to produce legal documentation during sporadic roadblock in Joburg.

This effort was carried out by MEC Faith Mazibuko. Mazibukonhas been lauded on twitter for efforts to try contain the ever increasing number of undocumented foreigners. Mazibuko took to twitter to post these stats.

Speaking through a series of tweets, Mazubuko said," We are not oblivious to challenges we face around illegal immigrants in particular. 

As the Gauteng Government, we are engaging with the Provincial Home Affairs to see how we can help them increase Immigration Services capacity."

She added that they had a discussion at a recent Gauteng ANC Lekgotla. They also had the discussion with the Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Police.

Mazibuko stressed the issue of corrupt home affairs officiala.

" But we know we will not win in our efforts until corrupt home affairs officials are also behind bars. 

Therefore we need Community members to help us identify the corrupt officers. You can always DM me the information," added Mazibuko.
