Every party has its loyalists who will keep voting for it no matter how much it oppresses them. However, many voters who have been voting for the same party for years are tired of empty promises and have decided to try out a different party hoping that it will bring change.
This could be the reason why Soweto residents blocked roads during President Cyril Ramaphosa's campaign. They were tired of all the empty promises made by the same party for over two decades, regardless that it is the party that freed Blacks from apartheid.
During the EFF's campaign in North West, the audience was allowed to address the party members, particularly Julius Malema, its president. In the video that is making rounds on social media, one woman who was wearing the ANC's yellow color and EFF's regalia addressed the crowd. She then started shouting, " Viva ANceFF Viva!"
This left the crowd in stitches, and instead of correcting her mistake, the woman shouted the same thing again, leaving many people with tears in their eyes. She then asked them why they are laughing, instructing them not to laugh.
Many people couldn't stop laughing, with some saying that she will vote for the ANC as it is obvious that it lives in her skin. Others are wondering if she is a member of the EFF and if Malema has not dismissed her.
The good news is that the EFF has committed to bringing service delivery to the people of North West and Mpumalanga next year. This includes a center for people with disabilities and a clinic. It is heartwarming that there are parties who will still do many things for the country although they are not the governing party.
The 1st of November is close, are you ready to vote for change?
