"South Africa is slowly becoming Zimbabwe."

For some years now people were predicting that the republic of South Africa will be soon like republic of Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe gained its independence in 1980 and Robert Gabriel Mugabe became the first democratic president in that country. Economy was flourishing with good service delivery but along building that legacy, corruption and nepotism started dominating. That led to the collapse of everything and citizens started migrating to other countries and many of them fled to Zimbabwe.

Yesterday the department of statistics announced the increase in percentage of unemployment rate and it is shocking because clearly there are no more employment in South Africa. That then led to people concluding that the republic of South Africa has arrived to status of Zimbabwe.

Thabiso shared that, "South Africa is slowly becoming Zimbabwe. Fuel expensive, electricity expensive, unemployment high, corruption rife, selfishness and greed over the roof...yah neh my country".

With how things are expensive now, one can be tempted that indeed we are slowly becoming Zimbabwe.
