Zimbabwe first lady Auxillia Mnangagwa in blackmail drama

Zimbabwe's first lady Auxillia Mnangagwa has been caught up in a blackmailing saga. 

According to Zimbabwean state media, Auxillia was approached by the Editor of an online tabloid ZimEye.

It is alleged that the editor of the online publication Simba Chikanza by threatening to release off the record comments explaining why she cannot speak on some issues unless she grants him a formal interview.

According to Auxillia's spokesperson, Simba spoke to the first lady off the record. 

Off the record is a journalism practice were a journalist speaks to a person without intending to publish what they will be saying. 

This did not go down well with the first lady and she decided to expose the journalist for attempting to black mail her. 

Auxillia Mnangagwa has often been criticized for her love for publicity and she finally met her match. 

Simba is yet to publish the conversation he had with Auxillia and he is yet to respond to the blackmail allegations. 

It has been described as unethical journalism.
