RIP || ANC Man Whom Cyril 'Conferred' A Huge Title DIES

An Iroko Tree has fallen and it has sadly fallen on the wrong side of the road. Barely 2 months after President Cyril Ramaphosa conferred the order of Luthuli to one certain ANC political extraordinaire, his death has now sent shock waves to the entire nation.

Dr. Max Coleman, a man who was born in privilege but forsook it in order to focus on the struggle for the liberation of Africans black in particular at the height of Apartheid colonialism, has sadly passed away at the elderly age of 95. The cause of his death was not divulged.

His demise was confirmed in a statement by the ANC released on the party's official Twitter account during the afternoon. The ANC waxed lyrical about the contribution he made during the struggle, particularly his gallant fight to promote human rights through mobilisation of civic society organisations.

Coleman along with his wife, Audrey are among some of the white people who were willing to risk their lives to fight against repressive laws of the black masses.

Following the fall of the apartheid regime subsequent to the 1994 elections, former president Nelson Mandela appointed Coleman the first head of the Human Rights Commission, whereby he continued with his fight for human rights and the improvement of living conditions for the previously marginalised and downtrodden.

Besides being a political activist, Coleman also wrote a myriad of 3 very important books that painted the picture of South African history.

It's unfortunate that Coleman has died at a time the party he loved with his heart is in state of decay due to factionalism and the desperate failure to address the issues affecting Africans and blacks in particular.

He would have been gnashing his teeth at the glance of the sea of poverty that exist in the country 27 years after nascent of democratic dispensation.
