South Africa was caught within a very surprising situation on Thursday the 28th of January. This is after the official presidency page on Twitter released information that the minister of tourism has officially retracted her words from the infamous opinion piece and apologized for the comments on the Judiciary.
Many were shocked to see that the minister had folded but soon after that, the country was hit with a bombshell when minister Lindiwe Sisulu released a statement saying that she did not retract or apologize at all.
South Africans are now caught up in some big confusion. They're trying to figure out who between the presidency that is currently representing Cyril Ramaphosa and the minister of tourism is not telling the truth. After the statement that was released by a tourism minister another statement was also posted on Twitter by the presidency.
They said that they are sticking to their original statement. There's now what's more evident that there was something going on in the background of everything. The country now it's more confused than ever as it tries to figure out who here is misleading the people.
It is quite evident that the war between the tourism minister and the ANC has escalated towards great measures. If that was not true, much confusion would not be going on in the country because everyone will understand what exactly is the ballgame.
The next few days will be extremely interesting because they will reveal if the African National Congress is now in shambles and fighting against itself or not. Whatever happens someone will be revealed as the individual who perpetuated this big lie.
What is your take on the matter at hand? Who do you think is telling a lie between the two?
