The South African National Defense Forces undertook a successful operation at Pongola border post (between South Africa and Swaziland). During the operation the soldiers found a car loaded with stashed of marijuana that weight an average of 45kg. Driving the car was three unprocessed migrants who have since been arrested facing the charges of entering the country illegally as well as drug smuggling.

The news barely comes a week after the members of SANDF made another successfully bust, this time at Beitbridge border post (South Africa and Zimbabwe). The truck was carrying more than R16 million worth of Cigarettes smuggled from Zimbabwe without paying customs.

Smuggling of drugs and tobacco remains a serious crime and threat to both our farmers who can't compete with cheap cigarettes and our youth who remain in a zombified mood due to drug abuse.
