The deputy president of the Republic of South Africa and African National Congress, David Mabuza is known to have a good working relationship with the president of the Republic of South Africa and African National Congress Cyril Matamela.
The two are allies and have been protecting each other for years. Many people didn't want the the president of the Republic of South Africa and African National Congress Cyril Matamela Ramaphosa to appoint David Mabuza as the deputy president of the Republic of South Africa. This was after a call for female deputy president.
President Cyril Matamela Ramaphosa decided to protect his friendship by appointing his ally, David Mabuza as his deputy president.
Now there are reports that the deputy president of the Republic of South Africa and African National David Mabuza has raised his hand to challenge President Cyril Matamela Ramaphosa for second term as the president of the ANC.
David Mabuza wants to be elected as the president of the African National Congress in December 2022.
