President Cyril Ramaphosa Warm Birthday Wishes To Andrew Mlangeni

Andrew Mlangeni turned 95 on Saturday the 6th of June. He was born in the Free State in 1925.

He is the political activist and anti-Apartheid icon who worked with the former and late President of South Africa Nelson Mandela.

He was sent to prison just like his other co-accused and spend 26 years in Robin Island after the Revonia trial that took place betwee 1963 to 1964.

He is the only one left or surviving among all the Revonia Trialist as many has left this world. The last one to pass on was Denis Goldberg early last month.

Because of coronavirus restriction he had a drivethru birthday wishes. And he seemed to be enjoying his day.

And President Cyril Ramaphosa took to his twitter and wrote a message for him. And said some warming words via skype.

Among others who wished him well was former Presidents Kgalema Motlanthe and Thabo Mbeki.

We say Happy birthday ntate Mlangeni.

Growing up to that aged is the great blessing from God. This are men who left their families to go fight for the freedom of a black person.

Of which today as he celebrate his birthday we see protest across the world still under the fight of racism.
