John Deed, a popular social media influencer, activist, and analyst, has said that what Eskom is planning is nothing but disaster. He made this statement on Twitter after helping trend a hashtag “Cyril Must Go”. One can see that criticisms are mounting up against Eskom and against President Cyril Ramaphosa, including Eskom CEO, Andre De Ruyter. Many people who have been defending the administration are seemingly silent as they lack proper words to use in defending President Cyril Ramaphosa amidst several scandals and Eskom woes. John Deed wrote, “#CyrilMustGo. You need not be a conspiracy theorist to realise Eskom is a planned disaster. Just think. We supply power to neighbouring states at cheaper rates than we pay. Eskom supplies power to multinational mining companies at a fraction of what it costs to produce it. Think”. Some people have asked critics to give Ramaphosa more time to fix Eskom, saying that the problem started from Jacob Zuma.
Many people have been complaining that Eskom is getting worse, saying that the company is not generating enough electricity. Someone pointed out how Eskom problems started. He said, “Eskom was supposed to supply electricity at cost for SAns until the neoliberals came along and started this b.s of SOE's being profitable”. Another person added, “Speaking of multinational mining companies. I reside in an area not too far from one such mine, and we never ever experience load shedding”. However, some people are vigorously defending Ramaphosa and Andre De Ruyter, saying that they would always stand by them no matter what. The person said that those attacking president Cyril Ramaphosa have problems. He wrote, “There is Something very Suspicious about the Anti CR Ramaphosa Campaigns from the Corrupt Forces RET-EFF-ATM and the Nkandla Zumalema ANC
The ATM, and only they are very Desperate and Anxious to Remove Ramaphosa
The Leaders of ATM is even Crying on TV
Breaking Headline News”.
