Dogs Remain With Deceased Owner For Days Until His Body Was Recovered

Tongaat, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa 

This morning, the body of a man who went missing while hunting with his three dogs was found on the side of an unpaved road in Tongaat - KZN (Sunday). 

RUSA members were dispatched to the connecting road between Maidstone and Brake Village at at 07:37 by a passing motorist. The Reaction Officers met with the Metro Police who were in attendance when they arrived on scene. The body of an elderly man was checked by medical personnel and found to have no indications of life. 

In Tongaat, KZN, a 65-year-old man and a neighbor were found to have gone out into the sugar cane plantation late last night to go hunting for small wildlife. Their search was interrupted by an elderly man and three dogs who failed to come home after splitting off. Family members were alerted by his neighbor, who returned to his home and notified his family of the situation. This morning, the body of a guy was found on the side of a rural road. His three dogs stayed by his side. 

The reason of his death could not be determined at the time of his death.
