As the South African Social Security Agency continues to pay its applicants the covid-19 srd grant, the agency released a statement urging all beneficiaries who chose to receive their funds on their preferred bank accounts to ensure that the cellphone number they use has been undergone the RICA procedures incase they chose to receive their money via cardless banking at an ATM.
It's very important that all R350 srd grant sassa applicants who chose to be paid through their bank accounts, they must make sure that the bank account is registered under their own name and not someone else’s name even if their mother, cousin or any family member, if bank accounts that have been provided doesn't belong to the rightful beneficiary it will lead to declination.
This method is there to assist the beneficiaries to withdraw their funds simple from ATM's as till PINS are sent to cell phone numbers provided when applying.
In addition, beneficiaries who receive their special COVID-19 SRD grant via the SASSA gold cards are also urged to access their grants at participating bank ATMs or store withdrawals. They may also use their cards to swipe when purchasing and not necessarily only to withdraw cash. This is strategy is to avoid crowding at Post Offices.
