SASSA || Did you get approved with no payment date?

If you have checked the status of your R350 Social Relief of Distress (SRD) award application and saw that it has changed from approved to denied, you may be wondering why. Sassa understood several concepts.

The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) assisted the large majority of those who sought for the R350 Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant; however, some noted that they moved to disavowal from the date of non-installation.

Sassa suggested that this could be due to the fact that, upon further examination of the candidate's ledger, it was discovered that the candidate had more than R350 in his pay record.

Consequently, your application may be denied, as individuals who acquire more than R350 do not qualify for the R350 SRD. Basic requirements for an SRD award include having no other source of income, no UIF benefits, and no other awards, including NSFAS.

If you acknowledge that an error has been made, you can pursue the R350 award. You have 30 days from the time you learned why your application was denied to appeal. Applicants for R350 grants can proceed with their applications by following the instructions.
