It's not that common to see people returning money that has been deposited in the banking details mistakenly, then the owner calls and say I made a mistake and you returned the money, that's very rare.
But this person, deserves to be called a hero after returning this money to its owner after they mistakenly deposited into this person's bank account.
Michelle Obama once said, "we learn about honesty and integrity - that the truth matters... That you don't take shortcuts or play by your own set of rules... And success doesn't count unless you earn it fair and square."
They are really no shortcuts, you have to earn what you want, for example this person could have taken the money and use it for something else, which is a shortcut to getting what this person want, but decided to take back the money to its owner so that they can earn for what they want.
During this time of the covid-19 pandemic, times are tough, many South Africans are struggling to get by on day-to-day basis. But honestly, would you return R1,000 if it was accidentally sent to you?
I doubt you would, you might think yes, but part of you want to use a little bit of the money, or get into agreement with the owner of the money that you split the money.
According to IOL media publication, it has been published that, so imagine the surprise of this South African woman who had money returned to her after her husband accidentally deposited R1000 into another person's account.
According to social media platform Facebook, Letticia Mai Ntumbuluko Mtileni thanked a Miss F Taljaard on Facebook page #amStaying after Taljaard sent back money that she received accidentally.
"I will like to thank Miss F Taljaard, my husband deposited R1000 by mistake into her account. I called her and explain to her, she told me she didn't receive notification so I must call after five minutes, she wants to check if she did receive the money. I called her after 5 minutes and she confirmed that indeed she received money. She asked me to give her the details and she sent the money back to my account. I think you miss people like you are rare to find," reads the post.
