“Many folks think they aren’t good at earning money, when what they don’t know is how to use it.” —Frank A. Clark
When I started working, I used to think, "If only I could earn more money, my life would be better". As the years went by I did earn more but my finances didn't improve, I still needed more money. What I didn't realize was that my attitude towards money and how I used it needed to change.
As long as you free-style with money, spending all or more than you earn, having no written budget, no short term and long term financial plans, it doesn't matter how much money you earn. You will spend it all and them some and make no progress financially. Your net worth will always be in the red. You will always wonder why you're always struggling and not making progress financially.
Take control of your money instead of letting money control you. Stop wondering where your money went every month and every year. Have a written budget. Spend less than you earn. Keep track of your spending. Save for emergencies. Invest in assets. Get rid of lifestyle debt. Plan ahead.
