Mrs. Vuyokazi Ndevu and her husband own Enyobeni tarven. They are very sure that they had nothing to do with what happened there. Because of this, they feel like they should probably say how much they weren't there when this tragedy happened, and everyone would like to believe them because there's nothing we can do to change it.
She says that she and her husband were not there when the thing happened. Instead, they got a call in the middle of the night. They were told that a group of kids had broken into the business in the middle of the night to have fun.
Now, the tavern has been closed until the authorities can figure out how bad the crime was. So that the people responsible can be held accountable, the authorities can't let this kind of behavior go on. More needs to be done to stop it.
A 16-year-old girl says she was at the party but left through a window because it was so dangerous. Other people had to jump over the balcony. Unfortunately, things turned out the way they did, which put the people in a bad position because they were apparently locked inside and there was only one way out.
People were seen falling like flies as they tried to escape through an open window, which is really sad. When the dust settled, there were bodies all over the floor. Considering how much people wanted to get out of that situation but couldn't, this was a very tragic event.
The fact is that children have been allowed in the tavern for a long time, and that is something that can be seen. Because of this, it had become normal in the area for underage kids to drink alcohol and do other things at the well-known tavern.
