What happens when WOMEN put VINIGER into their VAGINA - STOP DOUCHING.

In French, the word 'douche' means 'to wash' or 'to soak.'

Douching is the procedure of cleansing or flushing the vaginal canal with water, a medicinal solution, or liquids such as iodine, vinegar, or other substances.

There have been various opposing viewpoints on the advantages and disadvantages of douching.

However, the fact remains that douching is hazardous and has a number of negative consequences for your vaginal health.

Furthermore, there is a misconception that douching prevents pregnancy. This assumption is completely incorrect, and it also increases the risk of STIs, including HIV.

Anondeep Ganguly, Founder and CEO of Skin PotLet's, paints a picture of douching for us.

Why is it wrong for women to douche?

Ganguly: Douching is associated with a number of issues. Douching alters the vaginal microbiome, resulting in negative consequences such as:

Douching during pregnancy can result in issues such as premature birth, miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, and other concerns.

Yeast Infections: Douching throws off the bacterial balance that keeps vaginal yeast from overgrowing. It encourages yeast to multiply, resulting in yeast infection.

Pelvic Inflammatory Diseases (PIDs) and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) are most common in women who douche. According to studies, women who douche are 73% more likely to develop PID. Furthermore, douching has been associated to an increased risk of cervical cancer.

Is it necessary to disinfect the vaginal area with a douche?

Of course not! The vaginal organ is self-cleaning. Your body naturally cleans and flushes out your vaginal area by producing mucus.

Douching makes you more likely to get a vaginal infection or a sexually transmitted infection. If you notice a strong odor or irritation in your vaginal area, you may be at risk of infection.

You can maintain your vaginal area clean and healthy by doing the following:

When bathing, wash the outsides with cold water.

Soaps, even gentler ones, should be avoided because they might cause dryness and irritation.

Using scented tampons, sprays, or powders is not recommended. These could make you more susceptible to illness.

It's crucial to have a balanced vaginal microflora. Leaving your vagina alone is the greatest method to clean it.

The mucus produced by the vagina is an important cleansing agent that removes any blood, sperm, and vaginal discharge.

If you're concerned about odour, keep in mind that healthy, clean vaginal tissue has a slight odor that changes throughout the day. It could also be related to physical activity. If you have any concerns, you should always visit a doctor.
