Gauteng woman has broken the Guinness Book of records after giving birth to 10 babies in one go. The lady broke the record which was set by a Malian mother names Cisse who gave birth to 9 babies in Morocco last month. The 37 year old mother is named Gosiame Thamara Sithole, she gave birth to two more babies than what the medical scans had predicted as they had said 8 and 2 more came as a surprise bonus. She gave birth to her decuplets at a hospital in Pretoria on the 7th of June through ceaserian section as natural birth was next to impossible. Gosiame Thamara Sithole resides in the Ekurhuleni township of Tembisa with her husband Teboho Tsotetsi and they already have a set of 6 year old twins. The new addition comprises of three girls and seven boys. How is their retail store manager mother going to handle such?
"It’s seven boys and three girls. She was seven months and seven days pregnant. I am happy. I am emotional. I can’t talk much. Let’s talk again in the morning please,” said the father
This is said to be rare by Doctor D Mawela who is the deputy head of the School of Medicine at Sefako Magkatho Health Sciences University. Who said it's usually women that are under fertility treatment who usually encounter such. He further went on to say that the children will stay in an incubator for some foreseeable months so that they can monitor them
