SASSA will be able to provide this over the next few days : See what Zulu said

JOHANNESBURG - According to Lindiwe Zulu, Minister of Social Development, the South African State Security Agency (Sassa) may soon be able to deliver the extended toddler handbook to families concerned about orphaned youngsters. This modification is anticipated to occur during the next few days.

Parliament was given with Zulu's price range for 2022 and 2023 on Friday.

Her department's R267 billion budget is one-third of the whole amount of the government's budget, and 99.6% of that expenditure is given to social assistance.

The prolonged toddler guide supply, also known as the kid guide supply maximum of R240, will be supplied to family members caring for orphaned youngsters.

The R480 toddler guide offer is still being distributed to a significant number of recipients who are already receiving it.

"While we expect the extended child guide offer to be implemented in June of this year, we predict that over 190,000 families will receive it throughout the 2022/23 fiscal year," Zulu indicated that the top-up offer should be implemented as early as the next month.

The division is budgeted 687 million rand for the 2023/2024 fiscal year and 871 million rand for the next fiscal year.
