My parents took me to varsity, they paid for the fees and accommodation and made sure that I have food and clothes. They are both government employees and are all good
Sadly I did not know it was an investment, I am employed but struggling to get a job that is paying good, what I mean does sustain me and my daughter considering that I'm now a mother. I stay in a surbub area paying rent, car and creche maintaining my lifestyle
Now I am being told that I should change the build in and renovate bathroom, back at home. l asked what is the issue with the existing one. Im told I should do something at home to show appreciation of everything they did for me
After everything they said this was my response I chose to write it down because a phone call would have been uncomfortableThey said im being rude, now it's circulating in family groups. Please correct me if im wrong perhaps I'm missing something, they ain't talking to me
We as children we show appreciation to our parents by doing some nice stuff for them, but it should come from within. The way some parents behave, it creates resentment and has some tone of entitlement. As parents, you should understand your kids and their financial position
Some mom asks for help and if you dont have, she understands and if you do give her, you can sense the appreciation and gratefulness from miles away, God willing, you wish you can do more all the time. l may sound rude or harsh because l was probably distressed when writing this
