Orlando Pirates hit back at Bafana Coach Hugo Broos and Unhappy with his comment

Orlando Pirates has hit back at Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos after he was denied access to enter Orlando Stadium.

The Belgian coach expressed his disappointments at Pirates after he was denied access to enter Orlando Pirates to watch the game between Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns despite having accreditation to enter the stadium.

Pirates were unhappy with the way Broos mentioned Dr. Irvin Khoza and the club went on to explain why Broos was not allowed to enter the stadium.

Speaking on ultimate sport show the club's administrative officer Floyd Mbele admitted that the coach was indeed denied access to the stadium.

He said the Covid-19 protocols did not allowed them to give exception to the coach.

Mbele emphasized that there are protocols that need to be followed to attend games.

He added that the Premiere Soccer League (PSL) only allow 160 people to attend the match.

"On this occasion, Orlando Pirates Football Club did not have any information about the coach coming," he said.

Mbele added that the coach did have an accreditation but he was not in the list to enter the stadium hence they denied him the access.

Mbele concluded that there was no need for Broos to mention the club's chairman Khoza because he had nothing to do with the incident.
