As everyone probably knows by now, the ANC is currently embroiled in factional battle amongst its members and they are also in facing a corruption scandals after corruption scandals by a number of its members.....which begs the question, "Will the last person to loot the ANC please switch off the lights?? "
Corruption hits deep inside n the belly of the ANC. Its spectacular inefficiencies, fragmentation into several centres of power, a weakened NEC and an uninspiring presidency, illustrate how deep the party has been hollowed out by years of gatekeeping, vote buying, membership database fraud, elitism, favouritism and nepotism.
Its systems don't work. There's no policy coherence, no salaries, no discipline, no accountability and no transparency.
Jassie Duarte's admission that the party is broke is an act of insolvency, which entitles creditors to apply for it's liquidation
Leaders and members recognize that the end of the organization is a matter of when. Not if.
So they steal as much as they can. The president's demeanour is that "steal if you may... But you're on your own if caught".
