Road safety is an important topic since it governs how people should use roads to ensure the safety of their lives and property. However, it is quite sad that some people disregard road safety laws and regulations. If road safety laws are ignored, then accidents would follow along with deaths could be recorded.
Recently, 3 people were allegedly crossing the road/walking on the pavements(conflicting witness reports) when a bakkie lost control and ran over them. Reports say that the bakkie veered off the road and crashed on the embankment in Phoenix - KZN.
According to reports, one person died while two others were injured after they were struck by an ADT response vehicle on Palmview Drive in Palmview - KZN.
When members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on the scene, they met Paramedics from Netcare 911 and KZN VIP, they were in the process of giving medical care to the injured pedestrians. A response officer reportedly suffered minor injuries.
