PSL Club Targets Sundowns For Their Next Win

PSL club targets Sundowns for their next win

Date: Thursday, 18 November

Mamelodi Sundowns are currently still unbeaten in the 2021/22 campaign of the Dstv Premiership to date, and is not an easy team to beat. Sundowns has not conceded a single goal in 9 matches played to date. Mamelodi Sundowns looks to be unstoppable, but surely somewhere along the way through the season they might concede a goal or even lose a match all depends on how they perform from this point forward.

Mamelodi Sundowns is a strong club in the Dstv Premiership, but has been conceding in the now concluded MTN8 competition which they won after penalties. Their finals opposition which were Cape Town City FC held them to a draw, and was the last club to score against them. Cape Town City FC in the other hand enjoyed a victory after their loss to Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN8 final, when they defeated Chippa United 1-0 but lost again to AmaZulu FC 2-0 in their latest fixture.

Cape Town City FC are looking for a win again in the Dstv Premiership and their next opponent is Mamelodi Sundowns. City's head coach Eric Tinkler is confident that he has a new plan to stop Mamelodi Sundowns in the league following the club's disappointment in the MTN8 final. Cape Town City will be hosting Sundowns at the DHL Stadium on Saturday and Tinkler says players has been cautioned to forget about the cup loss and focus on the match in hand.

"We want to see a good response from them leading to this, again tough game against Sundowns at home. At home we need to dictate, we need to be positive, and we need to play without fear. We need to get back to winning ways and I think that's very important. We gave the players a couple of days off and hopefully everybody has put what was in the past in the past and forget about the MTN8 and move on and focus on eight important league matches", said the confident Tinkler.

Cape Town City FC last lost to Mamelodi Sundowns on penalties, and they made Sundowns concede, and hopefully if they give it their all, Sundowns might concede their first goal in the Dstv Premiership if Cape Town City brings that same A-game.
